Inspire Scholarship 2022

Inspire Scholarship 2022 - Department of Science and Technology (DST) provides financial assistance for further studies through Inspire scholarship. It stands for “Innovation in Science Pursuit for Inspired Research”. Inspire scholarship 2022 is a merit-based scholarship. Students who fulfil the eligibility conditions can apply for SHE Inspire 2022 scholarship.

The main objective of the DST Inspire program is to attract students to study in basic science and give them a chance to make a career in science research. The eligible students pursuing UG in Basic and Natural Sciences subjects will be provided Inspire scholarship 2022. Inspire Scholarship Eligibility 2022

Only the students who fulfill the following eligibility conditions can apply for the Inspire scholarship program.
Age Criteria: Student’s age should be between 17-22 years
Educational Eligibility

• The top 1% meritorious students of 12th Class of any state or central education board.
• Students who have secured JEE or NEET rank within 10000 ranks can also apply for the Inspire scholarship 2022.
• Students who fulfil any of the above eligibility conditions and pursuing BSc, BS, and Int.MSc/MS in basic and natural science are eligible for the Inspire scholarship program 2022.
• Students studying in ISERs, NISER and Department of Atomic Energy Centre for Basic Sciences are also eligible.
• Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana (KVPY), Jagadish Bose National Science Talent Search (JBNSTS), National Talent Search Examination (NTSE) scholars and International Olympiad medalists who are studying UG or PG course in Natural science can also apply for Inspire scholarship program.

Following Courses are Accepted

• BSc/BS/Int. MSc/Int. MS course in Mathematics/ Geology/ Physics/ Statistics/ Chemistry, Astrophysics/ Botany/ Biology/ Astronomy/ Zoology/ Microbiology/ Electronics/ Geophysics/ Bio-chemistry/ Geochemistry/ Atmospheric Sciences/ Anthropology/ Oceanic Sciences.
• Only regular course students are eligible for Inspire scholarship 2022.

Following Courses are not Accepted

• Other courses in any other subjects such as Medicine, Agriculture, Psychology, Engineering, Seed Technology, Military Science, Anthropology, Defense Studies, Home Science, Biotechnology, Bioinformatics, Geography, Economics, Physical Education, Education, Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Applications, Instrumentation.
• Distance Education students can not apply for this scholarship.

Inspire Scholarship Amount 2022

After selection, each student will be provided with Rs. 80,000 per annum. The Inspire scholarship amount is segregated into annual scholarship (Rs. 60,000) and summertime attachment fees (Rs. 20,000).
The annual scholarship of Rs. 60,000 is deposited to the student's account at Rs. 5,000 per month.

• Summertime attachment fees of Rs. 20,000 is paid to the students who have attended the summer time research project.
• A total of 12,000 Inspire SHE scholarships are made available to eligible students.
• The scholarship is provided for a maximum of five years or until the completion of course.
